ARYADEVA (c. 3rd Century) was a direct disciple of Nagarjuna and author of several important Mahayana Madyamaka Buddhist texts. His best known work are the Catusataka (400 Verses on the Middle Way) and several texts on esoteric Buddhism ( Caryamelapakapradipa : “Lamp that integrates the Practices “ ).
