Manjushri is the embodiment of the enlightened wisdom of all the buddhas realizing the ultimate nature of reality. His left hand holds a stem of a lotus flower which supports the “Perfection of Wisdom Sutra” an important text which reveals the method for developing insight and realizing wisdom . His right hand holds a flaming sword symbolizing the power of wisdom to cut through ignorance, the root of all suffering.
