WHITE TARA MANDALA (Tib: Dolkar.khyil.khor)
Born from the tear of Avalokitesvara, the Buddha of Compassion, White Tara grants long life and renewal of one’s health and life force. She is presented in the centre of the Mandala (palace) by her see syllable TAM, symbolic of her most subtle mind. Surrounded by eight offering goddesses symbolized by the eight auspicious symbols that they are holding. The Mandala is used for initiation purpose only and its viewing as a blessing.
